LIX MONTHLY UPDATE

March 2006

Hi LIX Members,

As a result of the request for your feedback on our name, we are now officially the Lesbian Information Xchange (LIX). The vast majority of you really liked the new name...you told us it was 'cool' and 'fun' and 'sexy' as well as a great indicator of what we do...we are a community-based, not-for-profit network of lesbians exchanging information...some of it is business information and some of it is social or educational in nature.

So we encourage you to send us news of events and/or workshops that you are involved in so we can add the information to our Upcoming Events of Interest section of this monthly news update. We need to know the who's, what's, where's as well as cost, where tickets are available, if pre-registration is required, and if it's a fundraiser, what organization you're raising funds for. If the organization has a web site, that web address would be helpful.
At our next coffee meeting on March 7th, we're going to have an open discussion about LIX...what are your visions for the future of LIX, what kinds of events would you like to see happening in the future, what are your ideas about increasing our membership, how can we improve the group, etc. This is your group...Kerry, Lucy, Wendy and I are simply the organizing committee. We want to hear from you.
