| 1. Haunt - Sarah Hatton & Amy Thompson - November 9th - December 2nd |
In evocative mixed-media works, Ottawa artists Sarah Hatton and Amy Thompson propose a journey to places both real and imagined, haunted by the ghosts of memories and dreams. Haunt opens the door to a world of imagination and longing. By raising questions about the sexuality of girls, Hatton portrays her young subjects as real and expressive people behind their accessories. The collages created by Amy Thompson are from an ongoing series of work entitled Lost Albums. Her work explores the themes of fragility and recollection. Dale Smith Gallery, 137 Beechwood.
